MOVE YOUR SECONDS AWAY shows a series of dancing giraffes with human bodies. Their movements are exaggerated, almost desperate, as if they are պայքing to be seen. The hollowed-out eyes, placed as a layer beneath the surface, follow the viewer from every angle and make the act of looking reciprocal and uncomfortable. Beneath each work it reads: MOVE YOUR SECONDS OF FAME AWAY. The series originates from observing how adults present themselves on social media, in a constant urge to remain visible. As Andy Warhol said: “In the future, everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes”, but the works suggest that this visibility disappears just as quickly.

MOVE YOUR SECONDS AWAY zeigt eine Reihe tanzender Giraffen mit menschlichen Körpern. Ihre Bewegungen sind übertrieben, fast verzweifelt, als würden sie darum kämpfen, gesehen zu werden. Die ausgehöhlten Augen, als Schicht unter der Oberfläche platziert, folgen dem Betrachter aus jedem Winkel und machen das Sehen gegenseitig und unangenehm. Unter jedem Werk steht: MOVE YOUR SECONDS OF FAME AWAY. Die Serie entstand aus der Beobachtung, wie Erwachsene sich in sozialen Medien darstellen, in einem ständigen Drang, sichtbar zu bleiben. MOVE YOUR SECONDS AWAY toont een reeks dansende giraffen met menselijke lichamen. Hun bewegingen zijn overdreven, bijna wanhopig, alsof ze strijden om gezien te worden. De uitgeboorde ogen, geplaatst als een laag onder het oppervlak, volgen de kijker vanuit elke hoek en maken het kijken wederkerig en ongemakkelijk.
