Inspired by the iconic funk track Pick Up the Pieces by Average White Band, this work explores the fragile line between lust, obsession, and exhaustion. On a bed lie the shattered bodies of a masked couple – fragments of passion literally fallen apart. The words above them echo like a musical riff: restore or confront the pieces of ourselves. Masks hide identity but reveal the distance between who we are and what we desire. Humor, absurdity, and melancholy pulse through this rhythm of longing, loss, and repetition.
