SHRED TO PEACE is a powerful interactive artwork reflecting on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Visitors take a flyer from the tray labeled PUT OUT, featuring a fearful Putin against either a yellow or blue background, and place it above the painting marked PUT IN. The artwork has Ukraine cut out in the center with plexiglass behind it, surrounded by the text: YOU CAN SHRED A COUNTRY, BUT IT WILL FALL BACK TOGETHER. As the flyer is inserted, it is shredded and the colors of the Ukrainian flag fall like confetti into the tray. The cut-out country is then refilled with Ukraine’s colors, symbolizing resilience and restoration.

SHRED TO PEACE ist ein kraftvolles interaktives Kunstwerk, das Russlands Invasion in der Ukraine reflektiert. Besucher nehmen einen Flyer aus dem Fach mit der Aufschrift PUT OUT, auf dem ein ängstlicher Putin vor einem gelben oder blauen Hintergrund abgebildet ist, und legen ihn über das Gemälde mit der Aufschrift PUT IN. Das Kunstwerk hat die Ukraine in der Mitte ausgeschnitten, mit Plexiglas dahinter, umgeben von dem Text: YOU CAN SHRED A COUNTRY, BUT IT WILL FALL BACK TOGETHER. Wenn der Flyer eingefügt wird, wird er zerschnitten und die Farben der ukrainischen Flagge fallen wie Konfetti in das Fach. Bezoekers nemen een flyer uit de bak met de tekst PUT OUT, waarop een angstige Poetin staat tegen een gele of blauwe achtergrond, en plaatsen deze boven het schilderij met de tekst PUT IN. Het kunstwerk heeft Oekraïne uitgesneden in het midden met plexiglas erachter, omringd door de tekst: YOU CAN SHRED A COUNTRY, BUT IT WILL FALL BACK TOGETHER.
