‘DISPOSABLE CAMERA’ is a series that explores the transience of the moment, time, and perception. The objects—designed to be placed on a tripod or hung on the wall—take the shape of classic disposable cameras, but with a unique twist: the lens has been replaced by a mirror that distorts the reflection. When someone looks into it, they see themselves in a humorous and distorted way, a subtle reference to how memories shift and change over time.
Each object features the text: “CAPTURE THIS MOMENT IN THE PRESENT, BECAUSE IN THE NEAR FUTURE, THIS WILL BE THE PAST.”
This series blends nostalgia with humor. The disposable camera, symbolizing analog simplicity, becomes a reflective object that confronts the viewer with their ever-changing self-image. The distorted reflections emphasize the idea that memories not only fade but are also shaped by emotions, context, and time.
