In the dimly lit streets of Amsterdam, a woman sits behind a window in the Red Light District, her hands pressed against the glass. Her gaze tells a story not always visible: is she here by choice, or is the choice made for her? Surrounded by neon lights and curious onlookers, this piece confronts the viewer with the harsh reality behind the windows and the complexity of freedom and coercion. The text “THE CHOICE YOU MAKE ISN’T ALWAYS THE CHOICE THEY MAKE” challenges us to reflect on power, agency, and humanity.
