“PUT YOUR HEAD INTO THE GROUND” is a playful and satirical work featuring an ostrich. Its head disappears deep into the sand but reappears at the top of the painting—as if traveling through the earth—where it looks surprised at its own behind. This visual loop highlights how looking away from reality can lead to endless self-confrontation. Around the image appears the text: PUT YOUR HEAD INTO THE GROUND AND YOU’LL KEEP LOOKING AT YOUR OWN ARSE, a sharp message about self-deception, ostrich politics, and the humorous absurdity of our own blind spots.
