NOTHING LEFT TO SEA is a powerful visual statement on the impact of climate change and human activity on marine life. The artwork takes the shape of a diving mask, a symbol of our view into the underwater world. Inside the mask, the text NOTHING LEFT TO SEA delivers a wordplay that warns both literally and figuratively: there is less and less left to see in the sea. Pollution, overfishing, and global warming are causing coral reefs, fish species, and other marine creatures to vanish at an alarming rate. The diving mask, usually a symbol of discovery and wonder, now confronts the viewer with a heartbreaking emptiness.
