JOOST KLEIN is a bold and defiant artwork that captures a pivotal moment in contemporary music history. Created on the very day Joost Klein was disqualified from the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, this piece serves as an artistic reaction to the controversial decision made by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

The artwork depicts Joost Klein in a crouching position, wearing his signature blue suit—a recognizable symbol of his unique persona and stage presence. His hands are raised upward, forming an unmistakable gesture of defiance: both middle fingers extended in protest. Engraved on these fingers are the letters EBU and ESC, directly referencing the organizations responsible for his disqualification. This striking detail underscores the tension between artistic expression and institutional authority.

Beyond its immediate context, JOOST KLEIN embodies a deeper conversation about artistic freedom, censorship, and the power dynamics within the entertainment industry.
